I have always wanted to cosplay as him, and I finally had the opportunity to do so when a friend of mine was parting ways with a Darth Vader helmet. I retooled it and sharpened a lot of the edges before having everything repainted in a specific color scheme.

Yes, I made the leather part of the costume myself. I got a template and just did it myself. Everything else, including the armor and helmet, were purchased. These forms are made by different people who specialize in specific props or items.

I wear about three speakers, one for breathing and one for playing music, and another for the voice change. The voice change is probably the most important accessory to enhance the character. It completely changes the way I sound, and it’s essential to bring the character to life.
