Introduction

In this episode of Battle Damage, the team takes a break from testing iPhones to put the Samsung Galaxy line to the test. As an iPhone rip-off at first, the Galaxy has evolved over the years to become a popular phone line. However, the Battle Damage team is here to see just how much abuse these phones can take. They start by dropping the phones from various heights and eventually test them in liquid nitrogen. Keep reading to see which Galaxy phone survives the testing.

Testing the Samsung Galaxy Phones

The Battle Damage team begins their testing with five different models of the Samsung Galaxy phone. They test the durability of each phone by dropping them from varying heights. Surprisingly, all five phones pass the initial test. However, the real test has yet to come. The team takes the phones to a height of 15 feet and drops them again. One phone quickly fails the test as its battery flew out upon impact. Another phone’s screen is cracked and blacked out, while a third experiences a popped-off case.

During their initial predictions, the resident Android fanboy guessed that none of the phones would break during the testing. However, he was proven wrong when a total of three phones failed the 15-foot drop test. Next up, the team wanted to test the waterproof capabilities of the S5. Unfortunately, this phone failed in the second round of testing. The older non-waterproof Galaxy phones were then subject to a liquid nitrogen test. Two phones managed to survive the test, lasting 51 and 41 seconds each.

However, the Battle Damage team wasn’t done with their testing just yet. They wanted to freeze the phones even further by adding more liquid nitrogen. This time, the phones were no match for the extreme cold. The team was left with a pile of shattered and backless Galaxy phones.

Conclusion

Despite starting as an iPhone copycat, the Samsung Galaxy line has become a popular line of smartphones over the years. However, the Battle Damage team’s testing showed that even the toughest phones have their limits. Though some models passed their testing, others failed miserably. The extreme liquid nitrogen test proved to be the biggest challenge yet, leaving the phones shattered and backless.
